In this season of DLF-IPL; ZooZoos by Vodafone had really been a great sensation. ZooZoos are not animated characters as one may feel. They have been created by O&M for Vodafone.

A blog contest is organized mainly to increase traffic. So now I start explaining the ways:

  • Write a blog post about the contest and link to the original post. Explain in brief to force the visitor to visit the original site.
  • Subscribe to feed by email with all your mail ids.
  • Post a direct link to the site organizing the contest on the blog and on your website also. Try to position it on the top.
  • Comment on various posts of the organizing website. Use same details everywhere.
  • Tweet about the contest on daily basis with link to your blog. Multiple Twitter accounts make it an easier task.
  • Submit your article to many social bookmarking websites.
  • Flaunt about the contest in forums and communities. Don’t forget to add links about the contest to your profile on Orkut, Facebook etc.
  • Use effective categories and keywords or try to generate some with a generator; in short focus on the SEO part.
  • Never explain everything in your comment instead try to mail it to the admin. Some privacy will prohibit others from copying your methods.
  • Keep an eye on other participants; you may find something useful.

Finally if you are able to generate considerable amount of traffic for the organizers then we become the most probable winner. So next time you participate in a contest keep these points in mind and move with step-by-step approach.
